“Always Go Overboard” — the Liberals Creed

Every year the liberals fail to surprise us with their stupidity, they jump just one step too far based on the ideology:

“Anne Foley, the principal at Kennedy School in Somerville, Mass., sent an email to teachers warning them about celebrating Thanksgiving, the Boston Herald reported.

“When we were young we might have been able to claim ignorance of the atrocities that Christopher Columbus committed against the indigenous peoples,” Kennedy School Principal Anne Foley wrote.

“We can no longer do so. For many of us and our students celebrating this particular person is an insult and a slight to the people he annihilated. On the same lines, we need to be careful around the Thanksgiving Day time as well.”

Teachers have already been told not to let students dress up for Halloween.”

Michael “Lot’s More” Moore Defines “Greed”

Michael “More” –you know the guy who supports the the Occupy Wall Street movement against “greed?” —  well he was not satisfied by the $20 million he made on “Fahrenheit 911,” so he has sued for an additional $2.7 million!

He is a hero to the anti-greed left, for reasons best known the the Occupy Whatever movement.

Like the NAACP that only favors left-wing Blacks, and the Women’s Movement that only supports left-wing women, the anti-greed folks only support left-wing greed.

claims v. Reality

“Versatility of conviction” is the illustrative term that George Will uses to describe the flip-flopping of Romney.

Of course, all politicians change their policies, even if not their convictions – but their convictions change also over longer  time. Anyone who lives long enough finds that their convictions have changed to more appropriately meet the times.

I know mine have.

Romney has political problems, particularly RomeyCare.

Perry has immigration.

Cain has no government or foreign policy experience.

Every Republican has a problem.

That is no great surprise! The Republicans do not have a candidate equal to the plu-perfect Candidate Obama of 2008 – you remember “The one we have been waiting for” Obama?

You remember the June 3, 2008 speech: “we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on earth.”

Well, the Republicans don’t have anyone who claims to match that soaring, God-like CLAIM but they DO have several candidates who overmatch the failing Obama that ACTUALLY exists.

New Drone Weaponry Under Development

The military has a new weapon called Switchblade accoring to the Daily, a backpack sized, silent drone that acts as a Kamikaze weapon– using face recognition capabilities it flies directly into the person selected for killing without causing collateral damage, even in a crowd.

I just finished reading the gory story of the Marine battles on Okinawa where for weeks Marines slid down hills filled with maggots and the entrails of dead Japanese soldiers. Some — Many Marines and soldiers cracked from the gore (more than 20,000 cracked on Okinawa, alone), and anything that kills enemy without subjecting our people to lifelong horror of remembering carnage is welcome.

Of course we wish it was not so, but read “With The Old Breed” by an  eventual Ph.D. but who was a combat Marine (E.B. Sledge) on Okinawa taking nightly notes, mand you will better understand something about that which so few Americans know — the reality of close in, relentless, extended  combat.

Then you can better understand the value of Switchblade.

And, in an article in The Daily (an iPAD2 only newspaper owned by NewsCorp and Apple), they also mention other drone concepts under serious development; Drones that can stay on station for years and observe a single person, tracking him or her wherever they go,; drones that can be launched by flinging like a boomerang (soon to be deployed); drones that can hover in small specaes such as a closet….

The development ot drones is one of the major developments of the current war.

Can’t Get No Satisfaction!

Economic equality and social justice are not just the demands of the Occupy Movement — they are also the cry of Third World countries about the wealth amassed by “Developed Countries.”

And, yes, Developing Countries argue that Developed Countries stole their wealth, abused their citizenry and underpaid for their efforts.

The difference is that Developing .Countries are working hard, studying harder and competing their way up — taking our jobs while selling us what we want at a lower price.

The Developing Countries are evening the playing field the old fashioned way — they are earning it. Unlike the Occupy Whatever group.

And just to demonstrate what a bunch of whiners these liberal Occupy Whatever are, they were the ones agreeing with the proposition that the US immorally treated the Developing Nations, now those same liberals complain that the Developing Nations are taking the jobs by competing with us.

It seems liberals can never be satisfied!

California, Magnet for Illegal Aliens

In addition to the Governor signing the Dream Act which rewards the children of illegal aliens, he has subsequently signed other bills that deny cities the power to require the federal E-Verify system of requiring that only US citizens work for cities, and another bill that forbids cities from impounding cars of unlicensed drivers.

So the state is rapidly making being an illegal alien more welcome and secure, while other states are simultaneously making illegal aliens less welcome and secure through more restrictive legislation.

Yes, we now are establishing a system of state exchange — some states making life difficult, some making it easier for illegals. That sort of exchange is the experiment the Founding Fathers envisioned, just not on this subject.

States like ours will continue on until the economic/crime/jobs cost becomes unbearable — then, Prop.13-like, the voters will rebel.

Unfortunately, most people don’t follow the news — they just keep their heads down, their nose clean and plow ahead trying to make a living.

They rebel only when the conditions become unbearable, and sometimes that is too late.
