Cell Phones on Planes?

Big debate these days about the use of cell-phones on planes. The general feeling is that they should simply be banned.

Alternately, airlines could use the scheme a Houston, Texas bar used decades ago: Their Jukebox played continuous rock and roll, but a quarter brought three minutes of silence!

It’s a toss up if people would pay more for talking, or silence — I suppose it depends on the demographics. I would pay for silence…come to think of it, a Silent Compartment would also escape the bane of all Airline passengers: Crying children.
