Trump

George Will was right:Trump is “coarse and vulgar.”
Similarly, Trump attracts the coarse and vulgar.

There is more than a single letter’s difference between class and crass, and the Trump situation defines that difference, clearly.
I am sorry, but politics is far too important for Reality Show members — we might just as well get the Kardashians in the mix.

The show is still in the opening minutes, so nothing, good or bad is having much impact on an election more than a year away. In fact I didn’t even watch either of the Fox debates — I elected to watch the Padres get crushed because I thought that more important.

I still think so. The Padres with their great new and expensive line-up, are doing absolutely nothing, but until the Republicans winnow their lineup down to five, it is just mental masturbation.

What I will say is that the Republicans have one hell of a Cabinet if anyone wins the national election! There are a lot of serious adults in the Republican lineup, and while many are employed in great state Governorships, or important Congressional slots, even some of those could be lured away with a Cabinet post.

But I can’t afford to let my emotions, or few remaining synapses spark about 17 potential finalists — a number that could even grow before it falls. Most people could not reliably list all 17 candidates. I doubt I could.

Unless the nation has gone deeper into the Reality Show porcelain fixture than anyone can imagine, Trump will not be around for my dream Final Five. I doubt Mike Huckabee will be either. Someone’s will get hot, some will fail — money will line up, or fail to, and my occasional $100 will have little impact.

My dream team, in no particular order, is Rubio, Cruz, Walker, Fiorena,

Temperament is important in a president, and I doubt even you would think a man who has four draft exemptions (but who is critical of those captured from the Bataan Death March, to the pilots beheaded by the Japanese, to the crew of the USS PUEBLO!), three marriages, four bankruptcies, and whose every other word is “I” has the temperament to marry your daughter, much less lead the nation!

There is more than a single letter’s difference between class and crass, and the Trump situation defines that difference, clearly.

I am sorry, but politics is far too important for Reality Show members — we might just as well get the Kardashians in the mix.

You don’t know how the Kardashians stand on any domestic or international issue? I submit you don’t know where Trump stands either…today! He has been on every side of every issue.

  1. I happen to like The Donald because he is not politically correct. He utters what a good chunk of the electorate is thinking and feeling and that ain’t pretty.

Would I ever want to be employed by him? Only if he gave me a huge, non refundable signing bonus. I might last two days.

Would I want him as my President? No way. But he has already forced the GOP candidates to move to the right. Politicians go where the votes are and Trump has found them.
