Can we talk?
Many of my Classmates have, as have I, led magical lives — and must, absolutely must write their memoirs! Even if you have not submerged in the South China or been thrown out of a bar in Morocco, you have still led a life unlike any other and you must leave more than just the date you were born and died for your future generations.
Having completed my memoirs, I found an easy way to do it. In the Navy we file Incident a Reports to inform our Seniors of events that are out of the ordinary, and this is a good model.
Just write “events” as they pop into your head. Some of mine encompass half a page, some three pages. Appropriate photographs were placed on the pages, then a further scrapbook was placed at the end.
After writing many Incident Reports, ad hoc, and in Microsoft Word, I assembled the “events” into a Desktop Publishing program (I used Adobe PageMaker but these days you can stay in Word), then used Adobe Acrobat to turn the entire document into a .pdf file.
It really is easy if you take it one step at a time.
Only you can do it!

Allen,
I read every article that you write, hanging on every word like wisdom from above. When I find that I don’t agree with you, I have to do some soul searching to figure out where I have gone wrong. I’m still a work in progress.
I would love to read these incident reports. I thank you for everything you have done for the Nation and everything that you will do for humanity.
